SALT LAKE CITY — In the week ramping up to the team's inaugural regular season home game at the Delta Center on Tuesday, Utah Hockey Club made several big moves.

Most notably, the team brass named NHL All-Star Clayton Keller as its first-ever captain. In addition, the team closed out a successful preseason with a win over the Colorado Avalanche in front of a divided crowd at the Maverik Center.

What does that mean to name a captain? And what does the inaugural game mean for Utah's longtime hockey community? SLC Puck's Austin Facer breaks down the news of the week, and looks forward to a magical day at the Delta Center.
