SAINT PAUL, Minn. — Real Salt Lake seemed to be well on its way to its first three-game win streak in MLS play since May 2022 with an early goal on the road, but Minnesota had other ideas with a late goal to tie.

"Definitely (feels like) points lost, but a good opportunity to learn from and deal with some adversity," goalkeeper Zac MacMath said of the 1-1 draw. "But anytime you have a lead late in the game, no matter how far away, you feel like you've lost points."

Chicho Arango continued his scorching run of form with his fourth straight goal for RSL in the 24th minute. Andres Gomez capped off one of his many screaming runs down the right wing with a last-ditch cross into the box, and the Colombian captain dunked the ball into the back of the net with his head.

The goal put Arango in a tie for the most goals in MLS through six weeks with six scores.

RSL had four other shots on goal during the game but was unable to find the second goal, leaving the door open for an equalizer from Minnesota.

The match seemed set when RSL used its fifth-and-final substitute in the 86th minute, but Tani Oluwaseyi scored just one minute later to bring Minnesota level and send both teams home with 1 point gained in the standings, where they are tied for third in the Western Conference.

"The goal that we conceded was just a matter of momentum," head coach Pablo Mastroeni said. "I think Zac did everything he could to keep us in there. But, again, I think there's a lot of moments that we will look at and work on for next week."

RSL returns home to take on the Columbus Crew on April 13th at America First Field.
