Fewer states rely on cars quite like Utah and Idaho. According to U.S. Census Bureau data shared by Forbes, at least 96% of households in both states own a vehicle. That said, with industry prices on the rise, many have concerns about the stability of the market.

To help combat these issues, the Young Automotive Group and America First Credit Union found a way to make maintenance easier for those purchasing a vehicle.

Launched as a buyer's incentive program on March 15, 2021, Auto Finance Plus is a package available to Young Automotive Group customers who finance through America First. The five-year package includes eight service visits at any group dealership. Visits include:

  • Tire rotations
  • Multi-point vehicle inspections
  • Alignment checks
  • One-time key replacements
  • Oil and filter changes

"Auto Finance Plus provides phenomenal value to car buyers," Oliver Young, chief operations officer at the Young Automotive Group said. "Purchasing a vehicle is a major investment, so being able to remove the need for budgeting things like upcoming maintenance is a game changer."

The package is not only seen as convenient but also a savvy decision for many vehicle owners. Joseph Yoon of Edmunds told CNBC the average age of a vehicle trade-in for 2023 is 5.3 years. This means that many buyers can stay on the program during the majority of their ownership while not having to deal with potential inflation in maintenance costs.

"The Young Automotive Group is an organization that's taken care of our members for years," Brett Greenwell, vice president of member and partner relations at America First said. "They share values similar to ours, and we were excited to create this program together that offers exceptional benefits to buyers."

For decades, the Young Automotive Group and America First Credit Union have been prominent organizations in Utah communities. Coming together for numerous projects, they've collaborated on sales events as well as philanthropic initiatives.

Combined, the companies have served Utah residents for 183 years. Witnessing market changes in the area, the organizations say that Auto Finance Plus will revolutionize what car buyers expect.

"We constantly strive to provide our customers with the best value," Young said. "Because vehicles are a big investment, we've found that many buyers aren't only looking for the best deal on their purchase, but the best way to alleviate costs associated with ownership. It's one of the reasons we love providing Auto Finance Plus."

With 29 locations in Utah, Idaho and Montana, the group offers Auto Finance Plus at all of their locations. The program is also available on both new and used vehicle purchases.
