HELPER — U.S. 6 was closed in both directions near Helper for nearly three hours Friday morning due to a crash and vehicle fire, according to the Utah Department of Transportation.

The roadway was closed a few miles north of the junction with U.S. 191, between the Price Canyon Recreation Area and Castle Gate. The road was closed around 9:45 a.m. on Friday, according to UDOT. Some traffic appeared to resume in the area about 12:30 p.m.

It wa unclear if anyone was injured, or what caused the fire.
