While people might associate Utah with married couples and a few kids in tow, there is also a large single population. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, there were approximately 1 million single people in the Beehive State in 2020. As Utah's population continues to grow, it's plausible that number is rising.

Whether you're trying to find the one, enjoy a night out or continue to impress your partner, the Beehive State has no shortage of swoon-worthy destinations to visit together. Utah has something for everyone, whether you're a food connoisseur, an outdoor enthusiast or an art and culture lover. Here are seven of the best places in Utah to impress a date.

Broadway at Eccles Theater

If you or your date is at all into theater arts, then a trip to the Eccles Theater downtown is a must. This state-of-the-art venue is the premier theater in Utah for Broadway shows and is beautiful inside and out. Wow your date with one of this upcoming season's performances, such as "My Fair Lady, "Six: The Musical," "Hamilton" or others.

Seeing a Broadway play at the Eccles will be a highlight of the year for any show tunes savant.

If you're looking for a beautiful place to walk around, hand in hand, with your honey, Red Butte Garden at the University of Utah is the ticket. This tranquil spot on the east bench is full of beautiful plants, flowers and other rare botanical specimens.

If gardens and plants aren't your thing, then surely the summer concert series will be. With shows multiple times a week through September, there's nothing quite like a summer evening, with your date, listening to live music in one of the most stunning settings in Salt Lake City.

Deer Valley Musical Festival

Few things are more romantic than being serenaded under the stars in Park City. Bring a blanket, your date, some snacks and enjoy the evening's sounds at any of the Deer Valley Music Festival's performances. There are often special performers to accompany the symphony's musical stylings, making every night a concert anyone will enjoy.

Sundance Mountain Resort

For a romantic escape in the mountains, look no further than the beautiful Sundance Mountain Resort. Set against a striking alpine landscape, the resort offers a range of awesome summer activities, including scenic lift rides, mountain biking, hiking, horseback riding and zipline tours.

If you're not geared up for an adventure, you could attend one of their outdoor musical performances. One Google reviewer said, "It's really fun to see the amazing talent that comes from UVU and the local community! We look forward to watching a great show and watch the sun set over the beautiful mountains."

There are also a few restaurants on site, such as the award-winning Tree Room restaurant. If you don't order the BBQ at the show, be sure to get a reservation at one of the restaurants!

Dining at the Grand America

On its own, the Grand America is a beautiful building. The shiny stone floors and gold finishes are a sight to behold. Once you get past the lobby, however, you'll find even more to marvel at. To really impress a date, bring them to the Laurel Brasserie & Bar inside the hotel.

The restaurant is open for every meal of the day, giving you the flexibility to choose what meal you'd like to splurge on with a special someone.

You can also wander the hotel looking at different window displays and the small stores and gardens. Stop at the Bonne Vie on your way out for some treats and coffee to go!

The Summit at Snowbird

For adventurous daters, an afternoon spent at Snowbird is the perfect place to impress a date and enjoy a warm summer day. You can eat lunch at the top at The Summit restaurant at 11,000 feet in elevation. With two different levels inside the restaurant, you and your date can decide what view you prefer. Whatever food you decide to order for the main course, be sure to top it off with an order of the chocolate brownie with chantilly cream — to share, of course.

On the tram ride down you can enjoy the wildflowers and wildlife from a bird's eye view. This would also be a great opportunity to move in a little closer to your date.

Valter's Osteria

Some say food is a universal love language. If that's what you're trying to communicate, your first stop should be Valter's Osteria in Salt Lake City. Created by the legendary Valter Nassi, this is authentic Italian food done as you've never had before.

Brooke Eliason of Female Foodie said of her experience dining at Valter's, "Everything from the food to the ambiance to the service was the best that there is. Valter has indeed created an authentic Tuscan experience that will quite literally transport you to his mother's kitchen in Italy."

While you probably don't want to share your pasta like the lovers in "Lady and the Tramp," you will fall in love with the food. If you're lucky, the person across from you will fall for you, too.

Siegfried & Jensen

Since 1990, Siegfried & Jensen have been helping the people of Utah and surrounding states who have suffered needless injuries and death caused by car accidents, truck accidents, medical malpractice, defective drugs, dog bites, wrongful death, and other types of personal injury.

The firm is committed to keeping Utah families and communities safe by ensuring wrongdoers are held accountable.
