ST. GEORGE — A home in the Desert Color area was broken into early Wednesday morning. The resident confronted the intruders, who are still at large.

At approximately 3 a.m, three men entered a garage on West Fire Sky Drive and were confronted by the homeowner, St. George police officer Tiffany Mitchell said. The trio left on foot and the resident followed them.

One of the men reportedly pulled a firearm and shot at least one round. Mitchell, however, said it is unknown whether they were aiming at the resident or shooting into the air. No injuries were reported.

The men fled in a dark-colored truck, the home's resident Tiffany Laub said in a Facebook post. Security video obtained from a nearby school showed the altercation between Laub's husband and the suspects, as well as the men driving away. However, they were not seen on the video leaving the Desert Color area.
