LOGAN — A motorcycle rider died Thursday after crashing in Logan Canyon.
The 24-year-old man from Colorado was the only person involved in the crash that occurred on eastbound U.S. 89, according to Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Cam Roden.
Investigators believe that speed factored into the crash and caused the motorcyclist to lose control in a curve, Roden said.
The crash blocked both directions of the highway for 20 to 30 minutes before police were able to alternate traffic, Roden said.
The man's identity was not released Thursday.
