NORTH LOGAN — A man died Tuesday night after being involved in an auto-pedestrian accident.

Dispatch received a call regarding an auto-pedestrian accident just north of 2500 N. Main Street in North Logan just before 6:45 p.m., according to a North Park Police press release. The initial caller to dispatch indicated that an "adult male walked into the northbound lane of travel at which time he was struck by a vehicle," police said.

Witnesses on the scene reported that the man had not crossed the street using a crosswalk, police said. The man was taken to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.

Authorities say that the driver of the vehicle involved in the accident remained on scene and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation.

The identity of the man who was killed has not been released.

"Our thoughts are with all those involved and for the family and friends of the deceased," North Park Police said in a statement.
