SALT LAKE CITY — Updated data from the Salt Lake County Health Department says there is one COVID-19 case in student housing at Westminster College.

Previously, the department released information stating there were two cases but the numbers were revised over the weekend, according to health department spokesman Nicholas Rupp.

On Saturday, Westminster spokeswoman Arikka Von said the college had two positive cases recently and one earlier in the month but “not all are residential students.”

Late last week, the Salt Lake County Health Department released information stating there had also been three positive COVID-19 tests among residents of University of Utah housing.

U. spokesman Chris Nelson would not confirm the number but described the number of positive tests as “a handful.”

The U. will release information once it has the results of COVID-19 testing of all students who have moved into on-campus housing, Nelson said.
