CODY, Wyo. (AP) — Officials in Wyoming have received a building permit application from Kanye West for a proposed amphitheater on property owned by the rapper. West recently announced that he plans to move the headquarters of his shoe and clothing company, Adidas Yeezy, to Cody. He also wants to build a 70,000-square-foot amphitheater on his 4,000-acre ranch. The Cody Enterprise reports the Park County Planning and Zoning Commission plans to discuss the proposal.

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — U.S. Rep. Liz Cheney has given replacement military medals to a woman and her father after the original medals were stolen from a trailer outside a veteran organization in Wyoming. Wyoming Tribune Eagle reports that the Republican representative awarded Martha Albright and her father Harry L. Grover the medals on Veterans Day. Cheyenne police say a passerby found an emptied shadow box that originally contained a Purple Heart, a Bronze Star and campaign medals dating back to World War II.

CASPER, Wyo. (AP) — A search continues for a boy missing in central Wyoming. Authorities said Friday they’ve now covered almost 230 square miles (590 square kilometers) in their search for 16-year-old Joseph “Joey” Peterson.

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — Wyoming lawmakers have decided against giving college students more state scholarship money for high grades. The Joint Education Interim Committee voted 8-5 against the proposal Thursday.
