FORT WASHAKIE, Wyo. (AP) — A state lawmaker says a Wyoming man should have been hospitalized receiving help with addiction issues on the day he was killed by police. The Casper Star-Tribune reported Republican Rep. Lloyd Larsen addressed the death of 58-year-old Anderson Antelope during a Joint Committee on Tribal Relations Committee meeting. Authorities say a police officer shot Antelope Sept. 21 outside a Walmart after he stabbed an officer. Larsen says there was no room at public or private facilities for Antelope.

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — Wyoming Gov. Mark Gordon says he's open to all ideas to reduce spending while the state deals with lower revenue from fossil fuels. Gordon said at a news conference Tuesday he expects to have to propose a number of cuts in his first, two-year budget.

CASPER, Wyo. (AP) — A Republican running for U.S. Senate in Wyoming has raised $150,000 in the first three months of her campaign. Former U.S. Rep. Cynthia Lummis is so far the only major-name Republican running to replace Republican Sen. Mike Enzi in 2020.

JACKSON, Wyo. (AP) — Grant Teton National park officials have announced plans to begin removing non-native mountain goats from the Wyoming park by lethal and non-lethal means. The Jackson Hole News & Guide reported Tuesday that park officials released the final plan on getting rid of the goats. It includes hunting, capturing and relocating them. Park officials say the goats migrated from the Snake River Range into the range of native bighorn sheep and could spread diseases that could kill off the native herd.
