SNAKE CREEK, Wasatch County — One person died Monday morning in an off-highway vehicle accident in the Snake Creek area, according to Wasatch County Sheriff’s officials.

The crash was reported about 10 a.m. Monday. EMS and Life Flight responded to the scene along with deputies, Utah State Parks workers and search and rescue crews.

Two occupants were on the OHV when they reportedly lost control driving down an embankment, officials said in a Facebook post.

The passenger jumped out before the OHV rolled, but the driver was ejected and suffered fatal injuries, officials said.

Sheriff’s officials extended condolences to the driver’s family and friends.
