EUGENE, Ore. (AP) — Justin Herbert threw for 316 yards and five touchdowns in No. 15 Oregon's 35-3 victory over Montana, the Ducks' final tuneup before opening Pac-12 play at Stanford next week. Jacob Breeland and Johnny Johnson III each caught a pair of touchdowns for the Ducks (2-1), who won their 25th straight nonconference game at Autzen Stadium.
PROVO, Utah (AP) — Dayan Ghanwoloku intercepted a tipped pass in overtime after Jake Oldroyd kicked a 43-yard field to give BYU the lead, and the Cougars beat No. 24 Southern California 30-27 on Saturday for their second straight OT victory over traditional power program. Zach Wilson threw for 280 yards and a touchdown and ran for another score for BYU, which won at Tennessee last week.
EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) — Eno Benjamin reached the ball to the goal line for a 1-yard touchdown run with 50 seconds remaining, and Arizona State beat No. 18 Michigan State 10-7 after the Spartans had a tying field goal negated for having too many men on the field. Matt Coghlin's 42-yard kick appeared to have tied it with 6 seconds remaining, but a replay showed too many men for Michigan State. Coghlin had to try again from farther back, and he hooked that kick left.
PASADENA, Calif. (AP) — Jalen Hurts racked up 439 scrimmage yards, became the first Oklahoma quarterback to pass for 200 yards and rush for 100 in the first half and directed the fifth-ranked Sooners to scores on their first six drives in a 48-14 rout of UCLA. The graduate transfer from Alabama completed 15 of 20 passes for 289 yards and three touchdowns and ran 14 times for 150 yards and a score.
ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Freshman Dillon Gabriel threw for 347 yards and four touchdowns in his second college start, leading No. 17 UCF to a 45-27 rout of Stanford. The Knights scored on six of seven possessions, building a 31-point halftime lead in what was expected to be a much tougher test for the two-time defending American Athletic Conference champions, who won their first two games of the season by a combined score of 110-14 against Florida A&M and Florida Atlantic.
SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Tyler Huntley threw for 282 yards and three touchdowns and Zach Moss ran for 106 yards and another score in No. 11 Utah's 31-0 victory over Idaho State. Utah moved to 3-0 for the fifth time in the last six seasons.
SEATTLE (AP) — Jacob Eason threw the first of his three touchdowns on a 47-yard pass to Hunter Bryant on the third play of the game, and No. 23 Washington rebounded from its first loss of the season with a 52-20 romp over Hawaii. Eason and the Huskies overwhelmed the Rainbow Warriors, taking a 21-0 lead in less than 9 minutes and coasting to the victory. Eason finished 18 of 25 passing for 262 yards and Richard Newton had three short TD runs.
TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) — Khalil Tate accounted for 314 yards and two touchdowns, Gary Brightwell capped a late 99-yard drive with his second touchdown run and Arizona grinded out a 28-14 win over Texas Tech. Arizona hit a few chunk plays passing, but it was the ground game that made the difference.
