SALT LAKE CITY — There’s a little bit of optimism back in Provo after BYU’s surprise Week 11 at UNLV.
Joe Critchlow stepped into the starting quarterback role with aplomb on the road, Squally Canada ran better than he’s ever run in a Cougar uniform, and the defense forced turnovers through Zayne Anderson and Fred Warner to knock off the Rebels 31-21 in the hosts' home finale at Sam Boyd Stadium.
Can they keep the momentum going in their own senior day against UMass or in the season finale at Hawaii?
Former BYU linebacker David Nixon and former Utah defensive line standout Christian Cox are in studio to break down BYU’s first road win of the season, as well as diagnose what went wrong for Utah in a 33-25 home loss to No. 19 Washington State.
Turnovers were the story on the hill, as the Utes gave up seven, including four interceptions by quarterback Tyler Huntley. In addition, Demari Simpkins had a costly fumble, and Huntley wasn’t able to hold on to the football in a lot of areas.
