MCHENRY, Md. (AP) — Garrett College in western Maryland says it has chosen a Chesapeake College administrator as its next president.
Garrett College Board of Trustees member Duane Yoder told the Cumberland Times-News (http://bit.ly/2g1kskH ) Thursday that a presidential search committee has selected Richard Midcap, currently vice president for student affairs at Chesapeake College in Wye Mills.
Yoder says the selection will become final pending completion of negotiations.
Midcap would succeed Richard MacLennan, who announced in May he was leaving to become president at North Idaho College.
Both Chesapeake and Garrett College are two-year community colleges.
