President Dieter F. Uchtdorf was called as the second counselor of the First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Feb. 3, 2008, and has been a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles since Oct. 2, 2004. On Nov. 6, he will celebrate his 76th birthday.
