LOGAN, Utah (AP) — A high school student is facing criminal charges in connection to clown-related threats made against Logan High School.
The Herald-Journal reports (http://bit.ly/2dUVIqe ) that the clown-related threat came to the school's attention Wednesday and a resource officer found no tangible threat.
Another student has been referred to juvenile court to face two counts of communications harassment for making similar threats to Mt. Logan Middle School.
A third school, Ridgeline High School, is aware of social media postings stating a clown will visit the school on Friday but school officials say no threat has been made.
Logan Superintendent Frank Schofield says he hopes the current national trend of clown-related threats ends soon.
