Republicans are all set to go, and they're very proud of their podium. In the main picture, you can see the main stage, where the podium is a slightly lower than podiums traditionally are. That is supposed to add to a sense of intimacy between the speakers and the audience. there was a rumor running around here that John McCain was going to deliver his acceptance speech via satellite, however, the campaign is issuing releases that clarify McCain has NO plans to speak anywhere other than at the convention. As you can see in other picutres, the balloons are hoisted to the ceiling and ready to go!
