CHICAGO (AP) — Two brothers with have been charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of NBA star Dwyane Wade's cousin. Chicago police say 26-year-old Darwin Sorrells Jr. and 22-year-old Derren Sorrells were charged today in Friday's shooting of Nykea Aldridge as she pushed a baby in a stroller. Police say both brothers had criminal records and were out on parole.

DALLAS (AP) — Dallas police aren't sharing much information about the sniper attack that killed five officers nearly two months ago. Authorities have refused to release details about the weapons used, the autopsy findings and ballistics tests that could establish whether any officers were hit by friendly fire. They're also cracking down on protests. Officers are told to ticket protesters who disrupt traffic, and one vocal critic has been arrested multiple times. Chief David Brown has refused to meet with demonstrators unless they end their marches.

GRAND TETON NATIONAL PARK, Wyo. (AP) — Firefighters are working on steep hillsides, chopping down trees and searching for hotspots as they battle a wildfire that's blocking an entrance to Yellowstone National Park. The fire that began last month is blocking Yellowstone's south entrance near Jackson, Wyoming. Wildfire managers say their top priority is clearing a highway in the area and protecting campgrounds, buildings and archaeological sites.

HONOLULU (AP) — Forecasters are watching a tropical storm as it cuts an uncertain path toward Hawaii. A five-day forecast puts the storm near the Big Island on Wednesday before it passes south of Oahu (oh-AH'-hoo) on Thursday. Stormy conditions could coincide with President Barack Obama's visit to Oahu on Wednesday and the World Conservation Congress on Thursday.

NEW YORK (AP) — Legendary jazz recording engineer Rudy Van Gelder has died. He helped shape the sound of modern jazz on thousands of recordings, including John Coltrane's "A Love Supreme," Lee Morgan's "The Sidewinder" and Herbie Hancock's "Maiden Voyage." A spokesman for Blue Note Records says Van Gelder died Thursday at his home in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, the site of his studio for more than half a century. Van Gelder was 91.
