NEW YORK (AP) — The drug company Mylan says it's trying to lower the cost of its popular EpiPen 2-Pak, which has climbed to more than $600. Mylan has gotten a lot of criticism for the price hike, but it says it's now expanding programs that'll reduce the cost by as much as $300. Mylan also says it's expanding eligibility for its patient assistance program.

AMATRICE, Italy (AP) — One woman in central Italy says she'll never forget the "evil murmur of moving walls." The woman tells Polish TVN24 that she and her husband were awakened in the town of Amatrice (ah-mah-TREE'-chay) by tremors, grabbed their 4-year-old son and escaped through a balcony. She says her neighbors and their 13-year-old grandson did not survive. Yesterday morning's quake destroyed three cities in central Italy, killing more than 240 people.

ANKARA, Turkey (AP) — Turkey's defense minister says Turkish forces are securing the area around the town of Jarablus in northern Syria, a day after helping Western-backed Syrian rebels take the town from Islamic State militants. Meanwhile, Turkey says Secretary of State John Kerry has told his Turkish counterpart that Syrian Kurdish forces have started withdrawing east of the Euphrates River, as demanded by Ankara.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Emergency officials in Indiana and the Red Cross have set up shelters for victims of tornadoes that swept across the central part of the state. One shelter is at the Kokomo Event and Conference Center, where the Indianapolis Star reports that about 200 people are being housed and fed. The National Weather Service says at least eight tornadoes touched down in Indiana last night, causing substantial damage and minor injuries to up to 20 people.

SALAMANCA, N.Y. (AP) — Superheros aren't supposed to do this. Police in western New York are looking for a man they say was wearing a Batman costume and a Captain America mask when he walked out of a convenience store Tuesday with two, stolen 18-packs of beer. Police in Salamanca, near the Pennsylvania border, tell WIVB-TV in Buffalo that the store's surveillance cameras show the man wearing the combined outfit and carrying the beer in each hand. Police believe the man is in his 20s.
