The Republican presidential candidate has told a Florida campaign rally that his campaign faces challenges and could ultimately fall short. The campaign meets with party officials today, but they say it has to do with strategy, not the ongoing tension between the two sides over Trump's blunt style.

MOSCOW (AP) — There's a noticeable power shuffle in Russia today as President Vladimir Putin has sacked one of huis closest allies. Chief of Staff Sergei Ivanov has been fired, though Putin insists the move comes at Ivanov's request. Ivanov, a former KGB officer, former defense minister and deputy prime minister, was once considered a likely successor to Putin.

SANAA, Yemen (AP) — Civilian deaths are rising in Yemen according to the United Nations. The UN human rights office says more than 200 people have been killed and more than 500 wounded in the past four months, including 50 in one week. Since March 2014, a Saudi-led military coalition has waged a campaign against Shiite rebels, known as Houthis, and allied forces, but has failed to dislodge them.

BRUSSELS (AP) — The latest round in Belgium's anti-terrorist campaign included a series of overnight raids and the detention of three people. The federal prosecutor's office says eight searches were carried out in the Belgian capital, Brussels, but no weapons or explosives were found. Authorities continue to investigate the March 22 transport attacks in Brussels as well as other plots.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) — Police say a Florida woman is in custody after her young son beat his newborn sister to death. News outlets report 62-year-old Kathleen Marie Steele was arrested yesterday on an aggravated manslaughter of a child charge. Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gulatieri says that Steele left the children in a car at a business and that her six-year-old beat the infant when she began crying.
