LONDON (AP) — It won't be easy for Delta Air Lines passengers to get where they're going today. The company has grounded flights, and it's predicting widespread cancellations, after a power outage hit its global computer systems. Flights that were already on their way when the outage hit at around 2:30 a.m., Eastern time, were operating normally, but others were delayed or canceled.
WASHINGTON (AP) — Donald Trump delivers a speech today to the prestigious Detroit Economic Club. Trump will focus on boosting jobs and making the country more competitive on a global stage by cutting business taxes, reducing regulations and increasing domestic energy production.
QUETTA, Pakistan (AP) — The death toll has gone up to at least 63 in Pakistan following a suicide attack in Quetta. The attack happened this morning on the grounds of a government-run hospital. One survivor says there were "bodies everywhere." A Pakistani doctor says another 92 people are wounded. He says most of the victims are lawyers. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
KANSAS CITY, Kan. (AP) — A Kansas City, Kansas waterpark is closed today as authorities investigate the death of a 10-year-old boy on a water slide billed as the world's largest. A spokesman for Schlitterbahn Waterpark says Caleb Schwab died yesterday on the 168-foot-tall Verruckt, which means "insane" in German. The boy was the son of Kansas state Rep. Scott Schwab. There are no details yet on how he died.
HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (AP) — A 65-year-old man in Kentucky has been charged with the stabbing deaths of his two sisters. Police in Hopkinsville tell local news agencies that officers were called yesterday morning to a home where they found 69-year-old Francis Carolyn Coleman and 62-year-old Joanne Rogers both stabbed. Police say they found 65-year-old Robert Jerry Rogers inside the home with blood on his clothes.
