ST. JOSEPH, Mich. (AP) — The western Michigan city of St. Joseph is in mourning after a jail inmate killed two bailiffs before being fatally shot by other officers. A sheriff says Larry Darnell Gordon was trying to escape from a courthouse when he wrested a gun from an officer. He apparently was not handcuffed at the time.

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. (AP) — Presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton is expected to pick up the long-sought endorsement of Bernie Sanders during a joint appearance today in New Hampshire. Meanwhile, a GenForward poll finds Clinton struggling to make inroads among young Americans who overwhelmingly supported Sanders.

BAGHDAD (AP) — A suicide car bomb ripped through an outdoor market in a Shiite-dominated northeastern district of Baghdad today, killing at least 11 people. The bombing came on the heels of two large-scale attacks claimed by the Islamic State group that killed more than 300 people last week.

LONDON (AP) — British Prime Minister David Cameron is chairing a farewell Cabinet meeting before handing over power to his successor following the historic vote to leave the European Union. Theresa May will spend the day considering the makeup of her own Cabinet. British media have focused on whether Treasury chief George Osborne, who opposed "Brexit," will keep his job.
