Report: Mother charged ... 9 Italians among dead ... Australia election

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — A news report says the mother of four children who authorities say were fatally stabbed in a suburban Memphis apartment complex has been charged in their deaths. The Commercial Appeal reports that the woman has been charged with first degree murder, child abuse and neglect.

DHAKA, Bangladesh (AP) — Italy's foreign minister says the bodies of nine Italians have been identified among the dead in the Dhaka restaurant attack. Bangladeshi forces stormed the restaurant to end the 10-hour hostage-taking by heavily armed militants. They killed six of the attackers and rescued 13 captives.

DHAKA, Bangladesh (AP) — South Korea's Foreign Ministry says it's received confirmation from Bangladesh government officials that, despite an earlier report, no South Koreans were among the 20 hostages killed during the attack in Dhaka. An Indian government official had said South Koreans were among the dead, as well as Japanese and one Indian woman.

CANBERRA, Australia (AP) — They're counting up votes in Australia, where government and opposition are running neck-and-neck after today's elections. The balloting could result in a hung parliament in which a major party will need to form an alliance with independents or minor parties to form a minority government.

CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — Attention, history buffs: The New Hampshire home of a Declaration of Independence signer still hasn't sold two years after his great-great-great-great granddaughter put it up for sale. Josiah Bartlett was a doctor who signed the document after John Hancock. The 4,600-square-foot farmhouse is selling for nearly $850,000.
