BULLHEAD CITY, Ariz. (AP) — Authorities say 12 students have been arrested for a senior prank that caused more than $6,000 in damages to Mohave High School last week and may have to pay restitution.
Bullhead City police say the vandalism occurred inside school buildings and included graffiti that was graphic and offensive.
The school's resource officer received a tip Thursday and police identified students believed involved in the damage that occurred on April 28.
Police say nine 18-year-old students and three 17-year-old boys are accused of aggravated criminal damage and burglary, both felonies.
They say the 18-year-old students will be booked into the Mohave County Jail in Kingman while the juveniles will be released to their parents.
Colorado River Union High School District officials say the seniors charged can't participate in graduation this month.
