SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) — Police in Louisiana say masked men burst in on a card game at a tire shop and shot eight men, killing two of them.
Cpl. Marcus Hines of Shreveport Police Department says two of those shot were seriously wounded and four were treated at a hospital and released. Two other men sustained minor cuts from broken glass.
Hines said the gunmen got away. They are described as three or four men "wearing coverings over their faces" and shooting what appeared to be semi-automatic rifles.
Hines said investigators don't know the motive or whether the gunmen took any money.
Police identify the dead victims as 37-year-old Elton Wayne Madison and 37-year-old Leatrick Benjamin.
