TEHRAN, Iran (AP) — Iran's President Hassan Rouhani (hah-SAHN' roh-HAH'-nee) says the Iran nuclear deal with six world powers is a win-win for everyone. Speaking to parliament, he says no one was defeated, including various faction within Iran itself. He says the only people unhappy are radical extremists in Islamic nations, Israel and the U.S. In a separate development the U.S. and Iran have agreed to a prisoner exchange involving four Americans and seven Iranians.

BEIRUT (AP) — The Islamic State group is being accused of slaughtering 300 people, mostly women, children and the elderly, in the eastern city of Deir el-Zour where daylong attacks saw the extremists make significant advances. Opposition activists said many of the victims were Syrian soldiers and pro-government militiamen and their families. The killings are some of the worst carried out by the extremist group, which controls large parts of Syria and Iraq.

BAGHDAD (AP) — A United Nations report says satellite imagery shows thousands of buildings in Ramadi that are damaged or destroyed by the ongoing battle with the Islamic State group. IS overran Ramadi, capital of Anbar province, in May after months of clashes with Iraqi government forces. Last month government forces retook the city's western and central districts. The U.N.'s deputy special representative to Iraq, says the extent of the damage raises concerns about reconstruction.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Vandenberg Air Force Base, northwest of Los Angeles, is getting set for a satellite launch this morning by SpaceX. The U.S.-European satellite is the latest in a series designed to detect and measure ocean phenomena like El Nino. In addition, the private launch firm will again try to soft-land its discarded first stage on a floating barge. The launch window will be open for about 30 seconds.

JAKARTA, Indonesia (AP) — The death toll from Thursday's Muslim militant attacks in Indonesia's capital has risen to eight following the death of a third civilian. Indonesian police said they have arrested 12 people suspected of links to the Jakarta bombings and blocked more than a dozen websites expressing support for the attack as they try to counter radical Islamic ideology online.
