UN says Iran is meeting nuclear deal terms...Waiting for Americans freed by Iran to return home

VIENNA (AP) — Now that the U.N. nuclear agency has certified that Iran has met all of its commitments under last summer's landmark nuclear deal, the U.S. says provisions of seven sanctions resolutions on Iran have terminated and binding provisions come into force. They include restrictions on some nuclear-related transfers and on conventional arms and ballistic missile-related activities.

VIENNA (AP) — A senior Obama administration official says the four Americans released in Iran under a negotiated prisoner exchange haven't left that country yet. The official says arrangements are progressing to get them out. A fifth American, released separately, is already on his way home. As part of the deal, seven Iranians held by the United States will be freed.

UNDATED (AP) — Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders says the prisoner exchange between the U.S. and Iran shows "diplomacy can work even in this volatile region of the world." But Republican presidential hopeful Marco Rubio and other Republicans say Americans should never have been captured in the first place. He thinks swaps could encourage more hostage-taking.

HONOLULU (AP) — Search and rescue teams are continuing to battle rough seas as they expand the search for 12 Marines missing after two helicopters crashed Thursday off Hawaii's Oahu Island during nighttime training. The Coast Guard says the search now covers waters off Oahu's western coast in addition to the north shore. High surf continues to disperse the debris.

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Arcade Fire and Preservation Hall Jazz Band is memorializing music and fashion icon David Bowie. The group of musicians held a parade today in New Orleans. Media outlets report that hundreds of fans, many of who came dressed in their best Bowie outfits, marched with the bands performing his music. Bowie died Sunday after a long battle with cancer. He was 69.
