NEW YORK (AP) — Long before it was commonplace for pop stars to have alter egos and wild outfits there was David Bowie, who set the music world on its ear with the 1972 "Ziggy Stardust and Spiders from Mars," album and one of music's most famous personas. Bowie has died of cancer at age 69. British Prime Minister David Cameron tweeted that Bowie was a "master of reinvention" and a pop genius.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — Little Rock police say a standoff at a home with the third suspect in a robbery attempt and shooting at an Arkansas restaurant has ended with the suspect in custody. The robbery Saturday night at a Red lobster restaurant left an officer and another suspect wounded. The officer had been working security.

BALTIMORE (AP) — Another trial begins today in Baltimore in the case of Freddie Gray, a young black man who died in April, a week after he broke his neck in police custody. Police van driver Caesar Goodson, who was with Gray on his 45-minute trip from the site of his arrest to the Western District police station, is charged with second-degree murder. Goodson has never spoken to authorities. Gray arrived at the station injured and unresponsive.

CHICAGO (AP) — A government study finds second-hand smoke is still a big problem for teens even though fewer of them are actually smokers. Nearly half of nonsmoking kids in middle school and high school encountered secondhand tobacco smoke in 2013, and rates were even higher among smokers. Secondhand smoke has been linked with several illnesses in children.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Playboy Mansion has gone up for sale and it's pretty much all-inclusive, including its longtime resident, Playboy founder Hugh Heffner. Playboy Enterprises says the 5-acre property features 29 rooms, a home theater, wine cellar and a swimming pool with a cave-like grotto where Playboy bunnies partied with celebrities. The mansion also comes with a rare zoo license and a $200 million price tag. Hefner's continued living arrangement is a condition of the sale.
