MALIBU, Calif. (AP) — Jett Raines scored a career-high 24 points, Stacy Davis had 17 points with 10 rebounds, and Pepperdine snapped Saint Mary's eight-game win streak with a 67-64 victory on Saturday.

Jeremy Major made a jumper to give Pepperdine a 65-61 lead with 19 seconds left. Calvin Hermanson answered with a 3 to pull Saint Mary's to 65-64, and then Davis made a pair of free throws with 10 seconds remaining.

The Waves chose not to foul on the ensuing possession, allowing Hermanson a 3-point attempt from the top of the arc with two seconds left, but it hit the rim to end it.

Dane Pineau scored 16 points, and Hermanson had 14 for Saint Mary's (14-2, 5-1 West Coast Conference).

Pepperdine (10-6, 3-2) trailed 36-29 at the break, and used a 12-5 spurt to tie it at 41. Neither team held more than a four-point lead the rest of the way.
