ARCADIA, Calif. (AP) — Cat Burglar wheeled three-wide turning for home and won the $65,000 feature for older horses by a neck Friday at Santa Anita.

Ridden by Rafael Bejarano, Cat Burglar ran a mile in 1:35.54 and paid $6.40, $3.60 and $2.80 as the 2-1 second choice trained by Hall of Famer Bob Baffert.

Cyrus Alexander returned $5.20 and $4, while Class Leader was another 2 1/2 lengths back in third and paid $4.60 to show.

Midnight Hawk, also trained by Baffert, finished fourth as the favorite. He had been idle since finishing second in the Razorback Handicap at Oaklawn Park in Arkansas last March.

"He was flat today," Baffert said. "Terribly flat in the paddock and that's how he ran."

The victory, worth $39,000, increased Cat Burglar's career earnings to $334,400, with four wins in 14 starts.
