LAS VEGAS (AP) — Las Vegas police say a suspect in an August stabbing has been captured in Panama.
Authorities say 32-year-old Sergey Mkhitaryan was in Los Angeles on Saturday awaiting extradition to Las Vegas.
Fugitive task forces and federal agencies located Mkhitaryan in Panama on Thursday and subsequently arrested him.
Police say he is suspected of fatally stabbing another man on Aug. 20 after the two got into a fight.
Officers were called to a business and found the victim with stab wounds.
He was pronounced dead at a hospital.
Investigators say Mkhitaryan fought with the victim, left, but then returned and they got into a second altercation that ended with the victim getting stabbed.
Police have not released the name of the victim but say the two were known to each other.
