MIAMI (AP) — Tropical Storm Ida is forecast to move northward in the Atlantic, with little strengthening predicted over the next two days.
The National Hurricane Center in Miami says the storm's maximum sustained winds Thursday are 35 mph (55 kph).
The storm is centered about 1,195 miles (1,920 kilometers) east of the northern Leeward Islands and is moving north-northeast at 5 mph (7 kph).
Forecasters say a turn toward the north is expected by Thursday night.
The storm currently poses no threat to land.
