Germaine leads Blaze over Avengers

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Joe Germaine threw six touchdowns to help the Utah Blaze beat the Los Angeles Avengers 65-56 on Monday night in the Arena Football League.

Germaine was 16-for-30 for 240 yards for Utah (5-10). Huey Whittaker had five catches for 64 yards and three TDs. Aaron Boone added five catches for 78 yards and a score.

Los Angeles quarterback Sonny Cumbie was 23-for-42 for 282 yards and four TDs. Kevin Ingram had 12 catches for 134 yards and two touchdowns for the Avengers (4-10).
