SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Getting to and from Salt Lake International Airport may be more difficult after taxis are no longer allowed to wait to pick up customers.
KSL-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1SUTCFy ) that the Airport Ground Transportation Administration informed rideshare businesses that beginning June 15 cabs are only allowed to idle in line for passengers. Only 25 will be allowed at the airport at any given time.
Ground transportation officials are telling drivers to service hotels and high-traffic areas in downtown Salt Lake City instead of in the airport queue.
The closures are a result of ongoing construction at the airport.
