RENO, Nev. (AP) — A weekend shooting has left two men dead and another person wounded in the Reno suburb of Spanish Springs. Washoe County sheriff's deputies tell the Reno Gazette-Journal that a man believed to be involved in the shooting late Saturday shooting is cooperating and investigators are not looking for suspects.

BULLHEAD CITY, Ariz. (AP) — Police in Bullhead City are investigating two biker clubs for allegedly retaliating against a drunken bar patron by stabbing him multiple times. A police spokeswoman says officers were called to O'Leary's Pub and found 34-year-old Michael Wilson, of Phelan, California, had suffered several stab wounds. Wilson is hospitalized in stable condition.

RENO, Nev. (AP) — The Nevada Guard has hired its first female brigade commander. Col. Joanne Farris has assumed command of the 991st Multi-Functional Brigade, overseeing more than 700 soldiers and all of the Nevada Army Guard's aviation assets. She replaces Col. Dan Waters, who will become the Nevada Army Guard's chief of staff later this year.

CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — Nevada lawmakers who took a fact-finding trip to Colorado over the weekend say they were impressed to see the state's recreational marijuana industry in action. Democratic Sen. Tick Segerblom said the trip is a reminder that Nevada needs to get moving on similar regulation. The trip comes less than two years before voters will decide whether to legalize recreational marijuana in Nevada, which already allows for medical marijuana.
