KATHMANDU, Nepal (AP) — The devastated Kathmandu area of Nepal shook again today from the force of a powerful, magnitude 6.7 aftershock to yesterday's 7.8 earthquake that has killed nearly 2,000 people. The tremor sent people yelling and running for open ground. Rescue crews are searching the rubble for survivors and international aid is beginning to arrive in the region.

MOBILE, Ala. (AP) — A sailing regatta in Mobile Bay was belted by a powerful storm that capsized several boats and set the Coast Guard to searching for at least four missing people. One person was rescued and officials say they have one confirmed death. The Coast Guard has been working through the night.

JAKARTA, Indonesia (AP) — Indonesian authorities have asked nine foreigners and a local man for their last wish ahead of their planned execution on drug trafficking charges. Indonesia has strict drug laws and is ignoring an international outcry against the executions, including pleas for clemency from foreign leaders and the U.N. chief.

BAGHDAD (AP) — Iraqi officials say six civilians have died today in car bombings in and around Baghdad. A police officer says the deadliest attack happened in Mahmoudiya (mahk-moo-DEE'-ah), about 20 miles south of Baghdad, where a car bomb exploded, killing at least four civilians and wounding nine. Two others were killed and 11 wounded in another car bomb explosion in Baghdad's southwestern Amil neighborhood.

BALTIMORE (AP) — Some violence marred an otherwise peaceful protest in Baltimore over the death of Freddie Gray, who was critically injured in police custody and later died of a spinal injury. A convenience story was looted and windows of businesses and police cars were smashed. Police Commissioner Anthony Batts says there were about a dozen arrests and five officers were injured. Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake says she is "profoundly disappointed" at the violence by "agitators."
