SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A Utah woman says she's planning to fight a notice from her homeowners association requiring her to remove a U.S Navy flag from her yard. Lucia Sandoval of Lehi says she put up the flag after her husband was deployed, but she got a letter from the association saying it violated rules requiring flags to be consistent in size and shape. KUTV news says a representative from the association said he was looking into the matter.

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Gov. Gary Herbert says he wants answers in the death of an inmate who died after dialysis providers failed to show up for his treatment. Herbert told KSL Radio today and he wants to find out who is responsible. Utah's Department of Corrections says Ramon C. Estrada died Sunday from an apparent heart attack related to kidney failure.

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Police stepped in during a standoff on the Utah-Arizona border when members of Warren Jeffs' polygamous sect blocked a former follower from taking her four children. The Mohave County Sheriff's Office says deputies were in Colorado City, Arizona, for seven hours Friday until they received a search warrant to enter the home of an aunt who refused to give the kids to their mother. Officials escorted Sabrina Tetzner and her children across the Utah state line.

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A report has found two registered sex offenders living in Utah homes licensed to provide child care. The findings were part of a Utah State Auditor's report about what access sex offenders have to vulnerable groups. The report found no sex offenders at foster homes or working at the state hospital, disabilities center or at school districts and charter schools surveyed.
