SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — The Bureau of Land Management will round up and remove wild horses in central Utah near the Nevada border Wednesday.
People can watch the operation and join tour groups leaving at 7 a.m. from the Border Inn Gas Station, located on the Utah-Nevada border.
BLM authorities say they will be removing the wild horses near Utah State Highway 21 that are causing concerns about public health and safety.
The roundup is going ahead a day earlier than scheduled due to high winds and other bad weather forecast in the area.
The horses will be available for adoption, and those that aren't adopted with be cared for in long-term pastures.
