ASHBURN, Va. (AP) — The Washington Redskins have hired Robb Akey as defensive line coach.
The team announced Monday that Akey will replace Jacob Burney, who was not retained after five seasons with Washington.
Akey was an assistant defensive line coach with the Minnesota Vikings last season. Before that, he was head coach for six seasons at Idaho, where he had a 20-50 record.
