SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Joeseta Fatuesi recorded her first career double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds and Utah got its first Pac-12 win of the season on Friday, 62-48 over Arizona.
Taryn Wicijowski and Tanaeya Boclair led the Utes (7-13, 1-8) with 16 points each. Wicijowski, who also had eight rebounds and five assists, passed Anne Handy (1981-85, 1760 points) for seventh in the program's career scoring at 1,762 when she scored her last basket of the night with 2:44 left.
Utah extended a seven-point halftime lead to 40-24 with a 13-4 run in the first four minutes of the second.
Keyahndra Cannon scored all the points in Arizona's 6-0 run to close the gap to 55-46 with 3:56 left, but Utah scored seven straight and the Wildcats (8-12, 1-8) capped the scoring on LaBrittney Jones' free throws with 37 seconds left.
Cannon tied her career high with 14 points on 5-of-6 shooting.
