BOULDER, Colo. (AP) — Sophie Brunner and Katie Hempen scored 15 points each, combining for 21 in the second half and No. 11 Arizona State defeated Colorado 68-60 on Friday.

The Sun Devils (19-2, 8-2 Pac 12), in their first game since having a 14-game winning streak snapped by Oregon State, took the lead for good with baskets on three straight possessions caused by Colorado turnovers, but couldn't put the Buffaloes (9-11, 2-7) away.

The lead was 13 seven minutes into the second half but back-to-back baskets by Lexy Kresl pulled Colorado within 61-58 with 2:35 to go. Bruner answered with a basket and after a miss, Kelsey Moos drained a 3, her only points of the game, to make it 65-58 with 1:18 to go.

Brunner had 10 rebounds and hit 9 of 11 free throws as ASU went 18-23 from the line.

Kresl led Colorado, which made 11 of 14 free throws, with 18 points; Jamee Swan had 10 with 11 rebounds.
