TUCSON, Ariz. — Jennifer Hamson had 19 kills and 14 digs as the No. 12 BYU women's volleyball team advanced to the NCAA tournament's regional semifinals for the third-straight year with a 22-25, 25-20, 25-23, 25-23 win over No. 11 Arizona in Tucson on Friday night.
Alexa Gray added 15 kills for BYU (27-4), which got 12 kills and 14 digs from Tambre Nobles and 39 assists and 15 digs from Alohi Robins-Hardy.
Ciara Parker paced the Cougar defense with 26 digs, and Tia Withers Welling added 13 digs. Whitney Young had a team-high seven blocks for BYU.
Fourth-year head coach Shawn Olmstead tallied the 100th win of his BYU coaching career with the victory.
Madi Kingdom led the Wildcats (24-10) with 33 kills, 23 digs and five blocks, and Penina Snuka supplied 43 assists.
BYU will face No. 6-seed Florida State in a regional semifinal in Seattle on Dec. 12.
