LAUGHLIN, Nev. (AP) — Clark County officials say they received a report that a 10-month-old girl was being neglected three weeks before she was found dead at a home in Laughlin.
Coroner's officials haven't released the cause of death for Lokelani Morton-Speer, who was pronounced dead Thursday after she was found unresponsive at the home of her mother's friend.
Officials with the county Department of Family Services say the initial case alleging neglect is still open, and they have opened up another investigation into Morton-Speer's death.
