LAS VEGAS (AP) — An exhibit honoring the late Las Vegas gambling pioneer Jackie Gaughan is going up in his beloved El Cortez casino. The display being unveiled today is titled "Jackie Gaughan's Downtown As Seen Through Gaming Memorabilia." It will include casino chips, tokens, dice and other artifacts from nine casinos Gaughan owned or had a stake in.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid says he won't attend a Washington Redskins home game until the football team changes its name. In a letter Monday to the team's president, Reid called the Redskins name a racial slur that disparages the American people. The Nevada Democrat, who said he represents 27 tribes in his state, rejected Bruce Allen's invitation to a Redskins home game until the team changes its name.

RENO, Nev. (AP) — Police say a suspect in a double homicide south of Reno was shot multiple times and killed in a gun battle with law officers after he led them on a high-speed chase in Nevada's high desert nearly 100 miles away. Sheriff's deputies and state troopers are still investigating the killing of two women and wounding of a man at a home in the Washoe Valley Friday night.

ELKO, Nev. (AP) — Elko police are investigating the death of a homeless man who apparently was run over by a train. Police Lt. Ty Trouten tells the Elko Daily Free Press the man apparently was alive when the train hit him on Friday night and it does not appear to have been a suicide. He says witnesses reported that he apparently had laid down on the tracks and passed out.
