BOISE, Idaho (AP) — A federal judge has dismissed a lawsuit an Idaho woman filed against President Barack Obama and other federal officials over the National Security Agency's collection of cellphone information. The judge ruled that under current U.S. Supreme Court precedents, the NSA's collection of cellphone data doesn't violate the Fourth Amendment's prohibition of unreasonable searches. Layers for Anna Smith of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, plan to appeal.

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (AP) — Greek yogurt maker Chobani is laying off workers at its south-central Idaho plant. Company officials tell The Times-News the layoffs include some regular workers but about three-quarters are temporary workers. The plant has hit its production target and so instead of two 12-hour shifts seven days a week, production workers will operate three eight-hour shifts five days a week.

MOSCOW, Idaho (AP) — Prosecutors in northern Idaho won't be able to present evidence from an experiment intended to show their theory about how a Washington state woman's body was dumped in the Snake River by her estranged husband. The Lewiston Tribune reports the judge denied the request. Rachael Anderson was in the process of getting a divorce when she disappeared in April 2010. Her body hasn't been found.

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — The State Board of Education unanimously approved Monday pay increases for three Idaho university presidents. The Lewiston Tribune reports that presidents of Boise State University and Idaho State University will receive 5 percent raises starting Sunday. The University of Idaho president was not included because the new president was just hired in March.
