GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (AP) — Authorities in western Colorado say recent heavy rain probably contributed to a massive, 4-mile-long, 2-mile-wide mudslide that's about 250 feet deep in many places. Emergency crews are searching for three people reported missing, but officials say the slide is still unstable. The slide is about 40 miles east of Grand Junction.

SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — South Korea really wants to find the missing billionaire believed to own the ferry that sank last month -- so much so that the reward for the man has been boosted to half a million dollars. Meanwhile, five employees at the ship's operator have been indicted in the sinking that left 300 people dead or missing.

LUCKNOW, India (AP) — Police in northern India are searching for the station master, who disappeared after an express train slammed into a parked freight train, killing at least 20 people. Officials say rescuers are trying to free people trapped under toppled cars and debris. At least 50 people were injured, including the express train's driver and assistant driver. Accidents are common on India's huge railroad network.

JERUSALEM (AP) — Pope Francis is wrapping up his three-day Holy land pilgrimage by giving Israel his full attention after speaking out strongly for the Palestinian cause. Francis honored Jews killed in the Holocaust and in terrorist attacks, and kissed the hands of Holocaust survivors during stops today at some of the holiest and most haunting sites for Jews in Israel.

ISTANBUL (AP) — Turkish media report that at least 15 people are in custody after police descended on at least three Istanbul neighborhoods, looking for anyone suspected of involvement in clashes with police in which two people died. One of the neighborhoods was the scene of violent anti-government protests last week. The state-run Anadolu Agency says police seized fire bombs and fireworks during the raids.
