RICHFIELD – Wasatch Academy completed its dominant season by defending its title with a 76-47 victory over Enterprise in the Class 2A boys state championship game Saturday night.
The Tigers finished their season with a 26-1 record, and their only loss was against a team from Florida in a tournament played in Alaska. This season they posted wins over Morgan, Timpview and Orem.
Koby McEwen had 23 points and eight rebounds in earning tournament MVP honors, while Cody John added 18 points and Geno Luzcando almost recorded a triple-double with 12 points, 11 rebounds and seven steals.
Justin Prisbey led Enterprise with a game-high 27 points and eight rebounds.
Wasatch Academy held Enterprise to just 26.8 percent shooting while making 51.8 percent of its shots.
