MICHELLE OBAMA

SCHEDULE OF THE FIRST LADY

Highlights:

11 a.m. The First Lady will make an announcement regarding proposals "to help parents and other consumers make healthier choices". This event is in the East Room and is open press. Members of the media who wish to cover the event must RSVP with "HEALTHIER CHOICES" in the subject line to firstladypress@who.eop.gov by 12 PM, Wednesday, February 26th. Those who do not have a White House Hard Pass must also include: Full Legal Name, Date of Birth, Social Security Number, US Citizenship Status, Country of Origin, and Current City/State. Following the event, the First Lady will join Rachael Ray for an interview. This interview will air the following week on The Rachael Ray Show.

2:30 p.m. First Lady will travel to Bowie, Maryland for an announcement with a local child care facility. This event is pooled press. Following her event at a local child care facility, the First Lady will join Jenna Bush Hager for an interview with the Today Show. This interview will air the following day.

8:30 a.m. LABOR DEPARTMENT — Releases weekly jobless claims.

10 a.m. FREDDIE MAC — The mortgage company releases weekly mortgage rates.

SECRETARY OF STATE KERRY

Highlights:

11:30 a.m. Delivers remarks at the release of the annual Human Rights Report, at the Department of State. (OPEN PRESS COVERAGE). Attending journalists should be seated in the State Departments press briefing room no later than 11:15 a.m. The press briefing room is accessible from the 23rd Street Entrance of the Department. Instructions for embargoed access of the reports will be available, to members of the press only, on Thursday, February 27, at 10:00 a.m. in the State Departments Press Office (Room 2109). The entire report is EMBARGOED until the end of the press briefing, approximately 1:00 p.m. After the briefing, the reports will be available to the public on www.HumanRights.gov and on www.State.gov.

12 p.m. Participates in a working lunch with German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier, at the Department of State. (CLOSED PRESS COVERAGE).
