HOMESTEAD, Fla. (AP) - NASCAR driver Joey Logano is engaged _ to the first girl he ever kissed.
Logano asked longtime girlfriend Brittany Baca to marry him Tuesday night, and she said yes.
"I'm not going to do any better," Logano said Friday at Homestead-Miami Speedway. "I knew that. She's a great girl. I've been dating her for a long time, and she's really actually my first kiss and the first girl I ever went out with, so that's kind of cool to have that relationship for a long time and figured I'd go for it."
Logano and Baca met while they were working at his sister's ice rink. Logano was driving a Zamboni, and Baca was working in the concession stand.
"I cleaned the ice and she sold French fries," Logano said.
Logano came up with a different _ and somewhat fitting _ way to propose. Baca was driving a decade-old Jeep that Logano felt "she was probably going to die in," so the Ford driver bought her a new Thunderbird to go along with an engagement ring.
"It's kind of a cool thing and kind of unique I guess," he said.
